Leah B. MorabitoLeah B. Morabito is an associate with the firm concentrating in the area of Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate and Guardianships. Prior to working for the firm, Leah was a solo practitioner handling estate and probate matters. A former Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Eugene M. Lerner, Maryland Circuit Court Judge for the 5th Judicial Circuit, she also served as a General Attorney with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and was employed by the In-House Counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. In addition to her background in Estate Planning and Probate, Leah has prior experience in civil litigation, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation. She has litigated cases in the state judicial system, both trial and appellate level, and before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
A native of Baltimore, Leah graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore with a major in political science and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. She received her J.D. from The University of Maryland School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, Maryland, the District of Columbia and the state of New York. She is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, and the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland.
As a former Judicial Law Clerk, Leah gained valuable insight into the inner workings of the court system and the variety of cases that came before the court, including criminal, civil, family law and corporate litigation.
An active volunteer at the St. Bartholomew School in Bethesda, Leah has served as President of the School Board and an officer in both the Catholic Youth Organization and the St. Bartholomew Home & School Association. In addition, she is a volunteer and member of the Mother’s Club at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC.
Leah lives in Bethesda with her husband and their three sons.
